Related Groups

Alongside the CCR there are a number of groups which promote critical realism and run regular events.

Centre for Social Ontology

Relational SociologyThe Centre for Social Ontology (CSO) is funded by the Independent Social Research Foundation. We were established in 2011 at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Now based in the Grenoble Ecole de Management, our main focus is the Morphogenetic Project.

Its primary research output comprises two book series. The first, Morphogenetic Society, examines the spread, and significance, of contemporary social configurations in which mechanisms generating social transformation dominate mechanisms generating social stability. The second, Post-human Society and the Future of Humanity, investigates the place, and challenges, of the human in contemporary morphogenetic societies.
