Alongside the CCR there are a number of groups which promote critical realism and run regular events.
The Centre for Social Ontology (CSO) is funded by the Independent Social Research Foundation. We were established in 2011 at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Now based in the Grenoble Ecole de Management, our main focus is the Morphogenetic Project.
Its primary research output comprises two book series. The first, Morphogenetic Society, examines the spread, and significance, of contemporary social configurations in which mechanisms generating social transformation dominate mechanisms generating social stability. The second, Post-human Society and the Future of Humanity, investigates the place, and challenges, of the human in contemporary morphogenetic societies.
The Critical Realism Network was established in 2014 based at the Department of Sociology at Yale University. It was funded by the John Templeton Foundation through its Human Flourishing and Critical Realism in the Social Sciences project grant.
Since completion of the original project, the digital resources it had developed have been managed by the Centre for Critical Realism, including its website, mailing list, YouTube channel, Twitter account and Facebook group.
